Xmas Plans Empty Xmas Plans

Post by Hobb Tue 12 Dec 2017 - 19:13

Stef is off starting the 22nd (Friday) and I'm hoped to have exams marked and sent off by then. So that leaves Xmas weekend and the following week for vacation.

I am off as of the morning of the 22nd and likely won't be going back. Linda and I are still flushing out plans for the holidays.

I should be off as of the 22nd, though I may bail out even earlier Wink
We are heading to Oakville after christmas but probably back by new years.

It's a nice afternoon on the 23rd. I'm officially logging off the 'net until the 27th.
Goodbye hivemind.

Between this Xmas break and the satellite outage in summer, I'm find myself far happier avoiding the cesspit the internet has devolved into.

Xmas Plans Empty Re: Xmas Plans

KFC UK wrote:McDonald’s leader Ronald just stated he has a “burger on his desk at all times”. Will someone from his big shoed, red nosed regime inform him that I too have a burger on my desk, but mine is a box meal which is bigger and more powerful than his, and mine has gravy! #nuclearbutton

I like how 'regime' is now shorthand for 'an evil country', because otherwise the two sides threaten nuclear war are indistinguishable.

The first comments were mostly McDonald fanboys saying how KFC made them puke. Eventally someone asks, "what stage of capitalism is it where brands imitate threats of nuclear war to sell fried chicken?" The answer is this stage, the one we're living in.
