The Spanish government, on the other hand, has already announced the nationalization of all of its hospitals and healthcare providers countrywide in a move to combat the spread of the pandemic. Salvador Illa, Spain's health minister announced that the country would put all of Spain's private health providers and their facilities into public control.

"For the duration of this crisis the State will take control of all private hospital facilities and manage all of the resources for the common benefit of all of our people," Ireland's Health Minister Simon Harris announced Tuesday. "There can be no room for public versus private when it comes to pandemic."
