Rural Alberta Advantage - Edmonton Empty Rural Alberta Advantage - Edmonton

I can't completely explain what it is about this song. I guess a mix of the lyrics and beat work for me.

What'll I do if you never wanna come back
Sittin in a city that is always on the attack
What'll I do if you never want me back
Come with me come back we'll live again

And what if I'm only satisfied when I'm at home
Sittin in a city that'll never let me go
What if I'm only satisfied when I'm at home

What'll I do if you never find me again
Sittin in a Province a million miles from my friends
What'll I do if you never want me again
Come with me come back we'll live again

What if I'm only satisfied when I'm at home
Sittin in a city that'll never let me go
What if I'm only satisfied when I'm alone

Late at night
Sink your heart into mine
And I will never try
As you forget your northern lights

Late at night
Sync your hearbeat to mine
I will never try
To forget your northern lights

Gone away again
From this Alberta pen
And I will never try
To forget your northern eyes

Gone away again
From this Alberta pen
And I will never try
To forget your northern eyes

Baby then again
Under the lights at the Ledge
And we will burn our eyes
Seeking out these purple nights

Baby then again
Under the lights at the Ledge
And we will burn our eyes
Seeking out these purple nights

Rural Alberta Advantage - Edmonton Empty Re: Rural Alberta Advantage - Edmonton

A song about the nostalgia and home-sickness ("sitting in a Province a million miles from my friends") of rural people now living in a big urban center ("a city that is always on the attack") or thinking of friends who left them to live in a big city. The band is from Toronto and they have roots in rural Alberta so that is the obvious contrast - but it can apply to many people throughout Canada.
