I'm working my way through the first season and I enjoyed the 'Meeseeks and Destroy' episode - so here are some more of my favorite 'cloning chaos' cartoons

I would also recommend the 'Lawnmower Dog' episode and 'Total Rickall' episodes.

Rick & Morty seems like the show Futurama wanted to be with cool SF premises explored in a comedy format/

'The Ricks Must Be Crazy' is my favorite I think.

I don't think Futurama could ever be as edgy. No dick and fart jokes in futurama.

It's a double-edge sword. Our generation kicked away many taboos in media during the 1990s but after 9-11 things got really ugly in the media really quickly and there was a giant lurch towards... well... evilness (i.e pro-war, pro-greed, pro-egotism).  IF you couldn't spew shit, you couldn't surivive.

So now you have showslike Rick & Morty or Red Letter Media where they wear a protective coating of racism, dick jokes, shit jokes, misogyny in order to smuggle in liberal-ish ideas.  'Lawnmower Dog' had a core of animal rights, Red Letter Media's Star Wars/Star Treks reviews are a plea for humanity in film-making - so both are slathered in whore-killing and toilet jokes.

You can trace most of this back to South Park, who perfected the art of spraying so much shit that it was hard to disagree with their pro-war, pro-corporate, anti-union cowardice without being 'uncool'. I know you have mentioned them in an earlier post and we will have to just agree to disagree about because I got nothing good to say the flaming closet case and gold-hording jew who produce it.  

I was watching a Simpsons recently and they used the term 'squaw', the last Rick and Morty used 'Indian-giver', I don't consider myself super-PC but it was hard to believe no one in the production process got those lines taken out. Ahhh, American media.....

So, yeah, separating artistic freedom from cultural degeneration is a tricky thing

RICK AND MORTY IS BACK FOR SEASON 3 TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was lied to about Rick and Morty's new season starting. Turns out that there is a new channel called Adult Swim Canada and they are just replaying old R&M's. I was bamboozled. It only took me 2 days to figure it out.

But there is a Pokemon type game that came out today for IOS and Android called Pocket Morties that is awesome.

I would also recommend 'Love Potion Number Rick' (the ending seals it) and 'Raising Gazorpazorp' (art comes from rage) and, the best episode I've seen yet, the one with the Council of Ricks.

I saw this yesterday and laughed my ass off... so good

They did a nice job on that - and I got the references. Really liked the Snowball recreation and the multiple Mortys ending - but I still have a hard-time not skipping through the 'improv' part, much like the episode it come from.
