Introducing Max D.
Here is the newest addition Max D. (aka Maximum Destruction or Maxwell).
Max has not been with us long and has already taken a significant injury. He got impaled, although exactly how that happened is a mystery. We think he jumped a small fence and landed on a garden stake or stick or hopped up on fence and when he came back down landed on a garden stake. Either way he got impaled on his right side. He is doing well but has a drain in place and has stitches. Here are some pictures.

He also has a pretty large rip in his right ear. He came with it and we again don't know how he got it.
Re: Introducing Max D.
The continuing misadventures of Max. Max's wound became infected yesterday and his original wound split open. He had to go back to the vet and be cut open and stitched up again, however, it doesn't stop there! He also has an ear infection and because he has a cone on he can't scratch it. We have cleaned up his ear and are cleaning his wound.
I suspect the ear infection was caused by scooping up snow in his cone while outside and getting his face and ears wet! It is possible that the medications also played a role in that.
Needless to say Max is having a rough week.
I am taking the night off work to help out with Max.

Best of luck to Max!
