Killer Mike & Sanders Empty Killer Mike & Sanders

I'm skeptical of Bernie Sanders because I'm a leftist cynic but if Killer Mike is willing to go to the wall for Sanders than I'm in too.

Here is Killer Mike introducing Sanders in Atlanta. This is the speech that won me over:

Here is a longer barber-shop talk between Mike and Sanders, they talk about everything from marijuana & Masonic temples to assault rifles & Gucci Man:

This is the fan-made Killer Mike video that first caught my attention and is still a high-mark on how well a few photos and video effects set to the right song can make a powerful video:

I'm a cynic but if there is a political rally and someone states that free healthcare is a right (or that education is a right, or that the War on Marijuana is stupid, or that foreign wars are evil...) and the crowds' fists raise in agreement, my fist raises too. I'm not being metaphorical, something inside me makes me raise my arm in solidarity. I'm going to consciously ignore 97% of the US election coverage that the media will shove down everyone's throat until November, but Sanders now has my support.

The mainstream media has being heavily on Clinton's side through this nomination process. They have ignored the criminal investigation into her sever issue, they have ignored the massive rallies in support of sanders, the constant calls for him to give up and ignoring the momentum and beating of Clinton on debates. Here is a Link to an article about a debate where Bernie Sanders "destroys" Hillary Clinton.

The Birds Have Spoken  (Youtube linking is being difficult so here is a link to the video BIRDS

Thanks for the pivotamerica.com link because it is hard to come across news about Sanders unless you search for it. This weekend there was at protest at CNN over the lack of Sanders coverage.

People go on and on about 'freedom of the press' but it is a simple fact that the super-rich owners of media corporations see absolutely no reason why their media outlets should be used to promote views that might interfere with their plans. If you have a strongly democratic journalist culture you can resist this - but without resistance right-wing mass media is the normal state.  There was a protest at CNN this weekend because of their lack of coverage:

Sanders' reaction to that bird landing on his podium should be part of every ad for him. His comical surprise gesture turns to bemusement than something like happiness and he seems to make eye-contact with the bird - these are the reactions of a fairly normal person unlike Hillary or Trump who would have violently swatted it or tried to eat it or something.

Trumps' "Circus Maximus" appeals to the bitter teenager in me who just wants to watch the world burn, Sanders' broad-based socialism reminds me of the activism that helped me matured out of that phase.

This articles gets to the core question: What would be Sander's price for marshaling his voters to vote for Hillary if he doesn't win?

http://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2016/04/gaius-publius-will-sanders-play-his-ace.html

Q: If you were to lose, and the Democratic Party comes to you and says, “Take this movement, that is full of energy and against the Establishment, and make sure they vote for the Establishment candidate,” what do you say?

Sanders: What we do together, as a growing movement, is we say, “If we don’t win — and by the way, we are in this thing to win, please understand that — [what’s] the Democratic Establishment going to do for us?”
[...]
Are they going to welcome into the Democratic Party the working class of this country and young people, or is it going to be the upper middle class and the cocktail crowd and the heavy campaign contributors, which to a significant degree, it is right now?

Sanders willingness to identify the party elites as the problem is bold. If this is true - than both Sanders and Trump are running populist campaigns against the entrenched leadership of their parties. These primaries are political civil war: Trump V. Foxnews. Sanders v. Democratic Establishment. This is all good news.

Webster Tarpley long-term advice has been:
1) Smash the Republican party into smaller regional parties that are nationally unelectable.
2) Freed from the savagery of the Republicans, the Democrats split into the two main US political parties: Wall-Street Democrats (Clintons) and Socialist Democrats (Sanders)

We are actually seeing this begin.

A straight up Sander v. Trump election would make for a great fall: an egomanic billionaire v white-haired socialist in a candidate debate could be a defining American moment.

Been reviewing the disaster that happened to Syriza in Greece and I have to say that if Sanders became president I would suspect that he would govern a little to the left of Obama. Since Obama governed as a moderate Republican (yes, Republican) so Sanders would be conservative Liberal president and little would change in regards many things. Sanders is no anti-imperialist while Trump critiques NATO.

But the message and movement of the Sanders campaign is more important than the man, ideas like public healthcare and taxing Wall-Street need to injected into the zombie corporate media machine and the Sanders' campaign is doing this.

UPDATE: July 27 2016

Counterpunch.org wrote:At 6:53 EST, Bernie wiped out of all his delegates votes. Sandernistas you have now officially cast your votes for HILLARY CLINTON.

It’s surely an ominous sign for Hillary Clinton that the loudest applause of the Democratic Convention will almost certainly be for the forced surrender of Bernie Sanders and the public humiliation of his delegates.

We need the pre-fried teflon mind of Hunter Thompson to cover the sanity-shreding insanity of this American election. I've been re-reading his coverage of the Perot campaign and his comment that "suicide rates of intelligent people rocket up 40% in election years" is the closest thing I've heard to wisdom. The next best thing is Counterpunch editor, Jeffrey St. Clair, point-form notes on the Conventions that have set America down the road to a dumpster fire dressed-up as an election.
