Spring in St. John's
April 21st we got hit with a mini blizzard. 30cm of snow and winds over 100km/hr
April 27th - Heavy snow amount not known yet but by the looks of it I'd say 20 cm. Winds about 70-90km/hr. There are also reports of THUNDERSNOW!

Re: Spring in St. John's
You were hoping for a few more storms before you left.
I've been thinking over some ideas for my visit:
1) Leave/enter St.John's harbour by boat
2) Anything on a boat (not interested in whales as much as coves and scenery)
3) Travel to the very end of the 210 highway
4) Visit one of the ghost towns created by the post-WWII resettlement - but these seem to be on the southern shore which mean you have to hit the west coast then take the 360 back south-east.
5) Explore the northern peninsula
6) Re-visit the Thetis shipwreck on that sand bar
