Re: Robotech!!
I second building the SDF-1 in minecraft. That sounds like an awesome project.
I watched Robotech about a decade ago and I loved it! I couldn't believe that I could still enjoy it as much as I did as an adult!

Robotech......
Robotech makes up about 75% of the few DVDs I own. I actually coded-up a text adventure that used the Robotech setting in Northern Ontario (I called it ROTOtech). It was the first cartoon that treated me like an adult by having one continuous storyline. It started my love affair with 'Japanimation'. I have old copies of the 'Protoculture Addicts' fanfize still kicking around. I still remember the day Roy Fokker died and I went to school in a daze.
MCTV used to play the series EXCEPT for the last two episodes of the final series. I still feel a minor spike of anger at this. There were 85 episodes so it took about 4 months to cycle, basically one semester at school. I would pray they would fix the problem every-time the ending got near.
I was desperate. When we went on vacation to Wisconsin I would check the TV guides in every hotel room, just in case they were playing those precious episodes. Some girl at Lockerby said she had all the episodes on tape but that was a lie. I began looking into how to contact MCTV to complain.
It was my first awakening to the fact that media corporations did not give a fuck. There were no gods at the other end of the TV signal, just accountants and techinans shoving in tapes. A few years later I was able to order in the final episodes of the series at Comic North, there was some closure...
And having Ontario Quadrant go up in aatomic blast 'Omni-directional barrier' overload trying to unload the SDF-1 refugees was the coolest thing to happen in this part of the woods until the show 'Heroes' had dead bodies being dumped in Ramsey Lake....

I could geek for another 2-3 pages. Robotech was my gateway drug.
