Halloween costume

Looks like the internet has caught up to the 'human form disguising' costume.  This is pretty much what I was talking about, minus the dangerous kilted stilts!

Just extending the front arms works well, changes the gait into something simian without the hazards of having every limb in a stilt. You don't even need a full 'stilt' or armpit-based crutch, just 'arm extensions' you can grab.

Old Dr Who have been a good sources of ideas, largely low-budget (except for a few nice latex masks) and everything is a physical effect.  I think that all the bodypaint is probably not healthy but it has convinced me that large cardboard masks and paper-mache 'ant butts' are doable.
