Snobbery and Nuclear Annihilation

As the War Nerd writes "The biggest barrier between us and nuclear war is snobbery."

The vast majority of humans would find it too gauche, too low-brow, to find themselves reduced to cinder because the US elected a crass elderly old moron who literally tweeted his way into WWIII with some weird Korean kid born in 1983. 

Unfortunately I get the feeling that the Nazis, with all their parading and costumes, seemed pretty stupid to the middle-class too. "Surely those prancing idiots and there nerdy love of fantasy Nordic warriors couldn't cause any real trouble..."
