Booker T. & the M.G.'s - Green Onions (1962)
Driving back from Cambridge we listen to a interesting CBC interview with Booker T, it was one of those long night-time interviews done by a knowledgeable host that are always pleasures to listen to.
Booker T.'s most famous song is Green Onions and it is one of those songs I always recognized but could never name. Great night-time driving music done by a great artist. The song was co-written by Booker T while he was still in high-school and that's him playing that funky organ on the track. Wikipedia states that is the only instrumental track in Rolling Stones' Top 500 rock songs.

I'm not sure how to make a youtube mix but I imagine it is pretty easy.
