Peace and Goodwill

Using our communiction station we contacted the Decayed Apes. Braga and Navar spent many weeks talking with the Decayed Apes until peace was established and eventually goodwill. The Decayed Apes sent over a trading party instead of a raiding party and we exchanged some Huskies for their grapes. The grapes will be used to make antibiotics.

Well, that's one way to avoid the 'feud cycle' 
How exactly did peace with the Apes come about? I don't see it in Von Schild's campaign promises. It would be interesting if mayors proposed peace/war as part of their elections.
We'll still have to deal with Salmonella and E.Coli but otherwise a good anti-biotic.
Do you know what the Apes plan to do with the dogs? I'm hoping that they're not eating them. But I'm even more hoping that we won't be fighting Apes with miniguns and huskies (or husky-ape hybrids with implanted miniguns....) in some future raid. Let's hope the peace holds.

The huskies were actually traded because we had over 30 huskies and game performance was sufferring.
The apes actually had a surprizing selection of dogs to offer. They were willing to trade pitbulls, daschunds, or dalmations. It appears the Decayed Apes like dogs...why does remain a question.

Roll a D6 to determine why the Decaying Apes have so many dogs
1) Allows for a variety of meals as different species taste different and are feed different diets.
2) The society runs on dog-power so they are variety of 'engine' sizes
3) Dogs are worshiped as avatars of the three major ape gods. Another breed is seen as an servant of Evil and killed on sight.
4) Nothing unusual, these are working dogs and all have there natural roles of protecting or helping in hunts.
5) The believe that apes reincarnated as dogs and visa-versa
6) The Apes have there own low-fi genetic project: dog breeding....

I was trying to figure out how to get it to roll a dice with not much luck...but I did figure out how to get it to do a random number.
