I don't listen to much 'alternative' music from the turn of the millennium as I associate it with a 'hipster' mix of thin voices, eclectic instruments (accordions, cellos, ect...) and melancholy music that never appealed to me. But sometimes that mix all comes together...

This song can wait and build and stretch silences; it can hit certain timbres of melancholy in slow drones; and it can rise above.
