My Zombie Soundtrack
In working on zombie stuff I made myself a soundtrack. It was largely 'brooding Moog' stuff from late 70/early 80s' movie score with songs from Assault on Precinct 13, Videodrome, Dawn of the Dead, Liquid Sky, Terminator, The Keep - with just a touch of 80s-era Skinny Puppy. But last week I dragged in my Witch House folder full of modern music and now it is a mix of the old and the new.
Wikipedia defines Witch House as "occult-themed dark electronic music genre and visual aesthetic that emerged in the late 2000s. The music is heavily influenced by chopped and screwed hip-hop soundscapes, industrial and noise experimentation, and features use of synthesizers, drum machines, obscure samples, droning repetition and heavily altered, ethereal, indiscernible vocals" and that sounds about right....
