Super Mega Baseball

A few weeks ago I had been reading about Cal Ripken and his recording streak for continuous games played, after which I got into Jackie Robinson and old time baseball. It left me sentimental for the old sports simulators of the past, especially ones like Tony Larussa Baseball and such, so I picked up this game after another reviewer said there were no real baseball player names, all characters are customisable and the characters were cartoony but the game play was solid. I have now played this game through a season and I have to say this is easily the best baseball game I have ever played. Now that not say much about the game, but the game play is really solid. Fun and easy arcade style play. Adjustable difficulty level allows for the computer to do most of the fielding minus throwing the ball. It also has a nice "mojo" system to make for pressure situations.

If for whatever reason in the unlikely event someone feels the need to play a baseball game I can fully recommend this game. Even the fake advertisements in the game are funny.

Can you recall any of the names we used to use for either the baseball or hockey simulator? I think our names, friends and family, also StarTrek-NextGen but there must have been more. I also remember that the NHL had a surprising number of real-life 'Ulf's in it....

I believe the characters from Reservoir Dogs made it in. I can't say for certain but I think we probably had the smurfs, army of darkness, robotech, etc...as players as well.
