Homemade White Poppies

Spray-painting poppies(tm) until they turned white took a thick coat of primer. So I've been considering other ways to make White Poppies.

Despite the Canadian Legion's monopoly on the poppy(tm), there are actually lots of different designs.
Here are New Zealand and Australia's design:

For the next Remembrance Day I might see if I could mass-produce a few or settle on a hand-made design.

Of course I could just go to the source of the White Poppy idea (http://www.ppu.org.uk/whitepoppy/) but I like making my own.

If you end up coming up with a good way to make white homemade poppies I would like to know. I wanted to have one for this year but I couldn't find one.
