Lessons in Hubris

Hubris (from ancient Greek ὕβρις) describes a personality quality of extreme or foolish pride or dangerous over-confidence. In its ancient Greek context, it typically describes behavior that defies the norms of behavior or challenges the gods, and which in turn brings about the downfall, or nemesis, of the perpetrator of hubris.

Clinton thought she could spit on Sanders, accuse everyone of sexism, and let the media win the election for her.

Over 8 year Democrats surged in Afghanistan and still the chaos grows there, they destroyed Libya and left it to ISIS, they demanded that Assad step down and surrender to ISIS, when Wisconsin unions begged for help against Scott Walker the Democrats ignored them (and after voting for Obama twice, Wisconsin voted Trump). Obamacare was written by the insurance companies. Obama refused to investigate any of the banksters and war-criminals that defined 2001-2008 by saying he wanted to 'look forward, not backwards'.

One hundred years later, the bourgeois are still refusing to transition to Socialism, or even pretend to fight for the working class or to try and tame Wall Street, so the regression continues apace.

Obama/Clinton offered austerity, more wars, rule by Wall Street, a new Cold War, a fascist coup in the Ukraine. And when Sanders re-captured some of the populism that Obama and Trump could generate, they smothered him with every dirty trick in the book instead of offering him the vice-president spot. All those fantasies are now crashing to the ground.

The hubris of the the Imperial Liberals/Wall Street Democrats has spawned a monster.

President Trump is the nemesis of Hilliary's supreme arrogance. America is going to have another 'Reagan Revolution' of deregulation and social program gutting at minimum. This Obama's true legacy.

As a creature of nemesis we have to thank Trump for destroying large chunks of both the Democrat and Republican elite, this was no small feat. Eventually Trump's own titanic narcissism and hubris will spawn his nemesis - and we'll see if the would can survive that reckoning.
