Playing over songs

I sent An email (your gmail)with a song I put guitar over. I think parts maybe difficult to hear as they aren't "normal" guitar noises.

The guitar fits perfectly in, I actually had to re-play Bridge's 'Perpetual' to figure out what was added. As the song grows I can occasionally hear the 'phaser' effect on it. There is a clicking sound later in the song - what is that?

The clicking sound is an effect I put onto the guitar. I could adjust the sound of the clicking by moving dials.

It gives the impression you are listening to something recorded on a cassette or a record with a slight click - do you think that's the intended purpose of that effect?

I don't think it was. I had multiple effects going at that time. I believe the effect that caused it was called swirling. It just had a few other effects lumped in with it to create that sound.
