The colony is located on the eastern shores of Goodnewt Ocean nestled among the towering redwoods.
Summers tend to be hot (30 degrees) and winters tent to be cool (-10 degrees). Although it can experience extreme weather variations. A recent heat wave brought the temperature up into the low 40's and in previous winters cold snaps have dropped the temperature to the low -30s.
It is surrounded by temperate forest and there are 2 rivers near by.
