Another Lonely Night in Torbay has some of its roots with Robin Gibb

I never really listened to the Bee Gee but this song I have really enjoyed.

This past winter I very briefly read a bit about the Bee Gees and Robin Gibb. There were 5 Gibb siblings. Barry, Andy, Robin, Maurice and Lesley. Robin and Maurice were twins, Lesley was the eldest, and Andy was the youngest. Andy died quite young at 30 years old from cardiac arrest do to drug abuse (cocaine I believe). Andy was the the most "adored" in the family and his death broke the family. Hugh (the dad) was said to have given up living after Andy's death. I believe Maurice felt partly responsible for Andy's death as he was introduced to a rock and roll lifestyle at a very early age. Maurice developed a severe drinking problem after Andy's death but the intervention from the rest of his family helped him remain sober until his death at the age of 53. He died from intestinal twisting and cardiac arrest. This death broke his twin brother Robin, who would die 9 years later from a long standing battle with intestinal cancer.

As is the case with many musical families, they harmonize amazingly well together.

Another Staying Alive version. Have heard this SO many times now.

The BPM of staying alive is 103 which is close to the ideal for CPR at 100.

And while we are on Medical versions of songs, this one has stood the test of time for me.

Another use for the website that gives you a song's BPMs: you could look up songs for CPR.

Most of the songs around 100 BPM are fairly obscure but I'll post some...

Toots & The Maytals - Funky Kingston [B Major - 98 BPM] [1973]

Thomas D - Rückenwind [D Major - 101 BPM] [1997]

and clocking in at exactly 100 BPM and C major... Henry Mendez's Dime la Verdad - some sort of 2018 Spanish vanity project...
