Black Bear (201?-2020)

These photos were taken Sept 25th and I buried you on the evening of Oct 1st. I guess you fell off the hydro-pole and broke your neck. It must have been quick. We decked your body with sweetgrass, lilac, poppies, hawberries and september wheat.

I was enjoying our encounters as you ate hawberries and raided bird seed cans. You let me take some photos that became instant favorites of mine. You weren't an old bear and wish we had longer together. Goodbye
