The one point at never understood when you could make students repeat grades is that every Italian bully I had to face down in my class was a year or two older than me. Nothing like an emotional and intellectually stunted bully with an extra year of puberty-inspired muscle on them... - that has to be a better way.
Reb and I got on a pretty good anti-university rant last weekend. The one merciful thing about public teaching is that your students are not going into $10,000s as they are being farcical 'educated'.
Otherwise I basically agree - and no apologizing for ranting in this thread.
