Thanks and some Videos

Hi All,

I've let work, and everything else get in the way of visiting this site. Just wanted to say thank you for all the posts and participation everyone puts in here.

I also wanted to share some video's, put together by some friends at the Ontario Federation of Labour, Canadian Labour Congress and my home Union OPSEU.

There is a growing movement to take back our country from those who value dollars over lives.

I believe most Unions through out Canada are part of the CLC so any members can talk to their local/ region offices about attendance.

All great stuff to be fighting for. You pop up pretty quick in the respect video, did you actually learn any sign language?

When Rob and I went to the parliament here in NL to watch the debate on the levy, it did help rekindle that fire inside that needs decency in this life and not just for me. Watching the sleaziest politicians (Dwight Ball, Dale Kirby, Cathy Bennett) created such a disgust that it has motivated me to keep fighting for decency. Now that I am moving back to Ontario and will be within one hour of Toronto, I think I will attend some of the Ontario legislature and attend in demonstrations at Queens Park.

This is sort of a side tangent, but PTSD has been getting a lot more attention in regards to work place hazards and it is a great thing that it is being recognized in emergency workers (police, paramedic, fire) however, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other emergency workers are not included in some of these bills and are not supported when I can guarantee ER nurses and respiratory therapists get PTSD from work because of what they see and experience. In Ontario will nurses, respiratory therapists and other emergency workers be included in bills that acknowledge PTSD in emergency workers?
