Re: Political Comedy
That's a wide-open question - but here is my basic answer:

Re: Political Comedy
Any suggestions for podcasts or the equivalent. Something that I can consume daily or weekly?
Re: Political Comedy
The idea of a Jon Stewart or John Oliver that didn't suck is tempting - but google (or duckduckgo...) the term "leftist comedy" and you get all these right-wing media pundits whining about all the 'leftist' comedy on mainstream TV.....
How about we both suggest and sample some stuff to see if there is anything good out there?
This isn't specifically a humorous twitter account but it does a leftist critique of the media and re-tweets leftist gifs/memes that can make me smile: adamjohnsonNYC - the only problems is that there is little context in the twitterverse so I don't always understand what's being referenced. Their podcast is good too: citations needed
A reddit thread on 'leftist comedy' suggests:
I also keep hearing about Chapo Trap House as "an irreverent leftist American politics and humor podcast" that was spawned from the Bernie Sanders campaign. It might be worth checking out.
Here is a starting ground: What-are-the-best-episodes-of-Chapo-Trap-House?

- Mark Thomas
- The stimulator (submedia.tv)

Re: Political Comedy
I am off for a couple of days so I will check out a few of them and give my thoughts. I don't really have anything to suggest yet. If I come across anything I will mention it.
And ya basically a Jon Stewart or Oliver that didn't suck is what I was more or less looking for.

Re: Political Comedy
Right now I'm listening to a Killer Mike interview from https://www.politicallyreactive.com/
and enjoying it. I also listen to the interview with Lewis Black and it was good to.

In Politically ReActive, two left-leaning comedians take on politics. W. Kamau Bell and Hari Kondabolu often hold very critical conversations on race, current events, the president, and everything else happening in the world, all with touches of comedy to get you through. Season two is described as the two comedians working to “navigate the dumpster fire that is the US political landscape.”
