Live Streaming Socialists Empty Live Streaming Socialists

I watched these two socialist gatherings as they live streamed - and it felt good. Just how I remembered it, that fun and awkward mix of working classes, genders, ethnicities, sexualities and ages - all very earnest and committed to something revolutionarily better. Not very polished.

The first one had socialist historians talking about the politics of earlier pandemic - yellow fever of 1776, Typhoid Mary, AIDS - but the conversations broaches on a variety of responses to covid - including black communities in Nova Scotia, and the 'Policing the Panademic' charts and graphs I've been posting

This was a May Day one I watched while drinking apple cider - its 3 hours long, so put it on in the background and grab a drink, sit down and watch every so often.

Conflicts of Interest: I know Gary Kinsman personally, I've really enjoyed Peter Linebaugh's work on the Atlantic of the colonial era, I admired Ben Norton's reporting work from South America, and Kiran was a great socialist firebrand on Twitter (until she got permanently banned).
