I loathe Daylight Saving Time
I even hate the goddamn name of it ('savings') that implies humans could somehow engage in some sort of bizarre frugality or economy with our near-by STAR . But mostly I hate the fact that sunsets are now at 8pm! Eight o'clock sunsets belong in summer not mid-April.
My soul revolts. It's truly perverse - like putting a teenager's head on a baby's body - and it robs me of one of the real joys of surviving winter: watching the sun slowly return. The government just snaps its' fingers, an hour appears or disappears like a rabbit in a hat, and -boom!- it's springtime.
I'm pretty sure Daylight Saving Times is a WWI invention - like mustard gas, flame-throwers, or trench-warfare - so that's why I put in the STEP category.
I'm moving to Saskatchewan...

Re: I loathe Daylight Saving Time
At some point last summer, I recall thinking that the sun just wasn't around as long or as late as I remembered years ago. I hadn't considered if or how our time change affected this!
